Edges rubbed, covers slightly scuffed, corners worn, spine split (covers seperated). Gilt title in decorative box at front cover. Marbleized rear pastedown, some foxing to text, a few pages loose but present. Includes beautiful fold-out map of the United States from the Eastern edge of the Missouri Territory and Texas to the Eastern coast. The state of Virginia still includes West Virginia. The map has been hand-colored with vibrant yellow, pink, blue, and green. There is a small closed tear at the folding crease in the middle of Kentucky and Tennessee, a very small closed tear at the crease near the coast of Virginia, and a closed tear along the crease going through the west of Missouri. A few discolored spots near the map's title.
